Crazy Girl

So Ashley just loves getting a bath and she loves her waterbabies class. (Even though the water is subzero!) Well on Sunday night we were playing in the basement and the baby tub was down there b/c Anna had used it on Saturday. Well, Ashley climbed into it (and of course almost pull the entire thing on top of her) and she just sat in the empty tub for about 1/2 hour and played.

I have no idea why this is so fun, but apparently it is a riot!

Our Weekend Playdate

This weekend the Kiser family came to visit. Well, while the men folk played golf and hit the bars for their annual golf outing us ladies hit the mall, target and of course some play time. Anna is just a little more than 2 months younger than Ashley and this was their first meeting, but they got along wonderfully. The cutest thing was while Emily and I were driving and talking in the front seat you could hear babbles from the back and I assume they were having a little conversation in the backseat. On a separate note, we decided that having 2 car seats in the back of a normal car would be a nightmare! It was pretty tight.

Anna is adorable and we are glad that she got to come and visit and can't wait to see her again!

Big Girl

Ashley has decided that she is no longer content to just hang out in her crib. Now, this is what we come in to find after naps or bedtime. She will be 8 months old next week, I thought that we still had some time before she would be so mobile. We already lowered the crib 1 setting but I feel like it will be down another one before we know it!

Can't Keep My Eyes Open

So Ashley was so tired last night that she was basically asleep the entire time she was eating. But the funny thing is that she has decided lately that she has to feed herself. And, if you try to take the bottle away from her to help her, well, let's just say she has a mighty death grip on it! I guess she has decided that she doesn't need Mommy and Daddy's help anymore. I am so excited by what a big girl she is now, but it also makes me sad that she isn't my tiny little newborn anymore.

Meet Alex

Alex is our neighbor, he lives in our community, right across the parking lot. He is Ashley's little boyfriend (even though she flirts with every man she ever meets, regardless of age!) Alex was born exactly 2 weeks before Ashley.
Saturday was the Annual Luau at Arlington Run and Ashley and Alex got the opportunity to spend some time together. Now please explain something to me. Alex took her hat off first, then he proceeded to try and take her shirt off. I swear, men start young!!!


They don't make grass skirts this small so I had to improvise.

And Shawn decided to put Ashley in the baby pool with all her clothes on! (Yes, I had to do laundry that night!)

Sleeping Beauty

Ashley has decided these days that the most comfy position to sleep in seems to be flat on her stomach and face (I usually go in and flip her head to the side) and with her little butt straight up in the air. It doesn't look that comfortable to me, but hey it must be or she would sleep for 10 straight hours at night!

And here is a picture of Izzy's new style, she got her hair cut while we were at the beach and I always forget when you cut all the hair off that the dog underneath is very tiny.... but that begs the question, how does anythnig that small cause so much trouble???
