The First of Many...

goodbyes. Yesterday we took Ashley to the dr for a follow up on her ear infection. Ashley's dr, Dr. Halpin is just wonderful. I have not one bad word to say about her. She was recommended to us and b/c Ashley was born early we never even got to met her until Ashley was born. When she walked into the hospital to exam her we had no idea who she was! But not only is she a very intelligent woman (medical school at Georgetown, Chief Resident at Arlington Hospital and a collection of awards on her office wall), she shares many of our views on health and nutrition. As we said goodbye to her for the last time it finally hit me that we are leaving and it made me sad. I know we will like being in Pittsburgh, but I am going to miss Washington, it is our home.

Packing Our Bags

Well, as most of you know already The Janovich family is heading to the burgh... On May 9th we will pack up our belongings and head north. Now I am very excited about this, however, I am going to miss Washington. Actually, I am going to miss Arlington. After 8 years here Arlington has become our home, I will miss our little townhouse. We have so many great memories here, of course the biggest one being the birth of our beautiful daughter. So, we are going to attempt to blend back into the PA lifestyle. I for one am looking forward to the minimal traffic there and the possibility that my kid and 2 dogs can have a yard. Right now Ashley plays on the sidewalk or we have to go to a park. So, watch out Pittsburgh the Janovich's are heading to town.... and we come armed with an Izzy-Monster!

Feeling Better

Ashley is feeling better and back to her crazy self. One of her favorite things to do is stand in the front window and look out. And of course Izzy likes it as well.

On a seperate note, no word yet on the results of Izzy's contest. I think we have till the end of the month so everyone get out there and vote for Izzy!

Sick Baby

Well, long time no post. There has been about a million things going on at the Janovich house lately. One of those things is that today we made the trip to the doctor to find out Ashley has an ear infection.

So, the sick baby got to lay around on the couch with Mom and Dad and watch way more tv than she is usually allowed.

Caged Animal

Ashley would absolutely love it if we let her hang out in Izzy's cage. She is always over there playing with the door opening and shutting it, trying to climb in and out of the cage. Here you can see she locked her book in the cage, possibly for bad behavior? Who knows, but I am amazed at what kids find interesting!

New Daycare

Yesterday was the big day, Ashley started her new daycare. I hope that we like this one, they seem like very nice people but you never know. The thing that I learned with the other place is that you truly never know. Nothing like that had happened at that daycare before and might never again. So, I just hope all is well with this daycare.

The funny thing is, there are 2 little girls in Ashley's class named Savannah and Isabelle (Izzy). Now my only hope is that Ashley doesn't follow them around saying "good girls"! Or chase the one around yelling "izee izee". That is what she does to her furry friends Savannah and Izzy!

Snuggle Time

Last weekend we were watching an episode of Curious George. Ashley loves to pet Izzy and this was not long after a bath so she was nice and soft. This is not a flattering picture of any of us, but it is just so cute.

And just so everyone knows, this is Izzy's signature snuggle, the behind the legs head on knees. Izzy is a little devil but she can snuggle with the best of them!

Off To Work

Ashley's favorite thing to do is go through my purse and find my car keys and my building security badge for work. She puts the badges around her neck and grabs the keys and is off. I have no idea why this is so fun. Shawn calls her little Mommy :)



And here is a picture of Izzy. Izzy is now a professional model so she might start charging to put her picture online. Izzy is a semi finalist in the Cutest Pet of the Year competition. As a semi finalist she gets herpicture published in the book even if she doesn't win. Oh we can say we knew her when!
