Teeth, Teeth, Teeth

This is a picture that was taken while I was trying to get a good picture of her in her Valentine's day dress. But she decided to storm the camera (& me) instead! I thought this picture was a pretty good one of all her teeth. This kid has a lot of teeth. And I believe there are more coming in b/c she has been drooling alot. And Ashley, generally, is not a drooly baby.

This picture just makes me laugh, it is something about the look on her face.

Star Bucks Run

So this weekend was not a good one at the Janovich house. We all have colds and Ashley has pink eye! So we stayed home on Friday and she is home from daycare again today. Daddy is handling the morning and I am going to take the afternoon.

But here is a picture from last weekend. Every weekend either on Saturday or Sunday morning Shawn, Ashley and I hit a coffee place before we start our weekend errands. So, here is the kid and I enjoying our Starbucks, well Starbucks for me, milk for her!

Disney On Ice

On Sunday, thanks to my wonderfully generous Uncle, the Janovich made the 3 mile trip to the Verizon Center for Disney on Ice. And after only 45 mins of driving around and around and around, we found a nice little parking spot. (Shawn and I refused to pay $15 to park for 2 hours, even if the tickets were free)
I was a little nervous about how Ashley would do, I didn't know if she would hold still or not. But, (with the help of a bowl of gold fish crackers) she did really well and seemed to really enjoy the show.

First Hair Cut

We took the plunge on Saturday and took Ashley to Cartoon Cuts to get her hair cut. I have been putting off gettting her a hair cut, but she was starting to look like a shaggy dog. Her hair was always in her eyes. So they gave her a little bob. She was ok with it till they strapped her down. After that she wasn't so sure. We even tried to give her the paci, no luck. She cried through the entire thing. They have a little tv at each station, hers had Dora on, Ashley isn't a Dora fan, now if Curious George would have been on..... then she probably would have watched and not cared what they were doing to her!

Rock'in The Boots

For her birthday, Michelle got Ashley these adorable boot. How fun are they? How very New York City are they? Well, I can already hear it now...."Aunt Shelli, my mom is so not cool, what do you think?"

Ashley wore her boots to daycare with her Valentine's Day dress yesterday. And then the 3 of us headed to a not so romantic dinner. But, we had a lovely time and today I am suffering from a really bad cheesecake hangover.

And this is what Mommy and Daddy got their little Valentine. It was just so cute I couldn't resist.

Valentine's Day Fun

Happy Valentine's Day! Last night we had to get all of the Valentine's addressed and the treat for her class prepared. Let me tell you that a 1 year old isn't super helpful with these tasks.
But today is her class party and even though I can't stop by b/c of a meeting at work I shouldn't miss, Shawn is going to go by and check out the festivities and also make sure no one tries to give my kid any chocolate or candy..... I wouldn't want to be them if that happens. We have a no junk food policy at our house.

New York Baby!

This weekend I went to visit my friend and Ashley's godmother Michelle in NYC. It was such a great time we pounded the pavement all day long on Saturday in pursuit of some good deals. We then had a great dinner at a Mexican restaurant near her apartment and then headed back home to watch movies. We ended up basically having a big old slumber party and Ben ended up sleeping on the couch! I got up and took an early train back on Sunday and it is amazing to have 2 1/2 hours of time to myself where I could read and listen to my ipod, I had forgotten what that much quiet was like. Ashley and daddy also had a great day Saturday.

Here they are waving bye bye to Mommy.

Ashley's Obsession

Ashley got a book for her birthday called Abby Cadabby's Rhyme Time. She loves this book. The minute we get home and go downstairs to play she grabs the book and brings it over to me so that I will read it to her. It is a cute book, starring, that's right, Abby Cadabby. For all of you who don't keep up on Sesame St, Abby is a new character (or at least newer) and she is a littler girl who is a fairy in training. The book is adorable, but after reading it for the 6th time last night I thought my head was going to explode!

This poor book has seen better days. She carries it around and has even been caught nibbling on the edges!

Like Mother

like daughter! Ashley loves her Elmo purse. Beth got it for her and she loves to carry it around. And she also spends alot of time on the cookie monster cell phone that came inside of it. She just gabs away saying who knows what, and I always wonder who she is pretendng to talk to. You hear lots of sounds that make no sense to us and then a "no" or a "girls". (I guess Ashley picked up girls b/c Shawn and I call the dogs girls when we are speaking about or to both of them)

And lastly, her favorite thing to try and play with... Daddy's blackberry. I guess they really are crackberries b/c Ashley is addicted to trying to get it away from him and pushing all the buttons!
