Well, she may not be Picasso, but this weekend when Grandma Kathy and Aunt Laura were visiting they brought Ashley a big old pumpkin. So, being that she is a tad to young to carve it we decided to let her paint on it. With the help of some washable paints from crayola, here is what you get!

Been awhile

Well, last week I came down with a nasty bug or a case of food poisoning, so either way there was no time for blogging!

Ashley loves to look at her animal book and she kisses the animals on the pages. I couldn't get a picture of that, but I like this one, it looks like she is reading her book.

Outdoor Fun

On Saturday Ashley and I went over to my aunt and uncles house to hang out and visit with my aunt while Shawn and my uncle golfed. I thought it might be fun to take some pictures of Ashley around the trees and grass, something that we have very little of where we live.
But, the ground was wet and the sun was in her eyes, so this is all I got!

Look At Me

Ashley is trying very hard to walk on her own, which basically involves her walking along the couch holding on and then trying to let go and she tumbles on her little tush!

And her other favorite thing to do is look out the window and then kiss her reflection in the mirror. Apparently, she thinks it is another baby in there.

Bye Daddy

On Sunday, Shawn went out the back door to walk down to the neighbors house to watch some football. Ashley watched him walk out the back door and waved, bye bye...



Then she just kinda stood there for a little while, I think she thought he was playing hide and seek or something because you could tell she was waiting for him to jump from around the corner or something!

The Queen of Country Music

So, I am sure that everybody knows who Reba McEntire is and anyone who watches Lifetime TV Network knows that her show is on in reruns about 10 times a day. Well, Ashley is intrigued with the theme song for the show. No matter what she is doing, the minute the song starts to play she stops and watches. Now Izzy has started doing it to. Shawn told me that Reba is called the Queen of Country Music. Please don't let this be a sign that Ashley is going to be a huge country music fan, I HATE COUNTRY MUSIC MORE THAN ANYTHING!!!! And the other question that bothers me is, has anyone heard Reba's voice, I wouldn't exactly think that it is soothing to babies or dogs??

Mommy's Little Helper

Good luck getting anything done at our house these days. But luckily for me Ashley volunteered to help fold the laundry(and by fold I mean take all of the clean clothes out of the basket and throw them onto he floor)!

Ashley is into everything these days, it is hard to get anything done unless it is nap time, but it is also so fun to watch her explore everything!

Hey Mom

Ashley has recently decided that she has to pick up everything! And she of course is at that age where she wants to hand it to us or pretend to and then just hold on tighter and we have to pry things out of her hands. Shawn likes to say that her grip is like a pit bull's jaw!

But, while I was taking a picture of her the other day she was trying to nicely hand me the camera case. But ultimately decided that eating it might be the better choice!

The Look....

Of trouble. If you were wondering what trouble looks like, this is it! Who would think that 17lbs could cause so much trouble?


Ok, now multiply 17lbs times 2 and you get double the trouble!

Yummy

Who would know that toes could be so yummy! Ashley isn't the biggest toe eater in the world, except when she is in her stroller. The minute she sits in her stroller the toes make it directly to the mouth. It must be the angle or she just feels like she has nothing better to do!

Knocked Out

Now that Ashley is getting older she doesn't usually sleep in the car if we are just running to the store or something that is a short distance. But last weekend she was just to tired from running errands to wait till we got home to nap. I wish I could sleep anywhere like this!

Packing Things Away

Yesterday, I was trying to go through some of Ashley's clothes and get the ones that don't fit anymore packed away. Ashley really wanted to help, so of course as I was putting things in the box, she was pulling them back out. Then she tried about 100 times to get into the box, so finally Shawn just put her in there so she could see that she didn't fit, but actually, she is such a little squirt that she did fit in there quite well!
