The Amazing Bumbo

These little baby seats are just the best thing. Ashley seems to really enjoy sitting on the dinning room table and I think it makes her feel like she is big stuff! (Even though Shawn or I are never more than 2 inches away from her) But, whoever invented these seats really knew what they were doing, how else could a 3 month old sit up by themselves, it is just great. (All, please note the chaos on my kitchen table, Laura and I had just gotten done scrap booking and had stuff everywhere!)

A Visit With Aunt Laura

This past weekend Ashley's Aunt Laura came in from Florida to visit. Ashley had quite a good time with Aunt Laura and she even got to stay home from daycare on Friday so they could have some girl time! Aunt Laura came bearing gifts and Disney dollars, I think Shawn is getting nervous already, as the only person I know who hates Disney World he knows that taking his little girl is inevitable. So, now when she comes and says "Daddy I want to go to Disney World" he won't have any excuses not to take her!

Say Hello To Betty

I think that these little 1/2 stuffed animal 1/2 blankie things are just great. Before I had Ashley I always thought they were so cute and soft and always bought them for baby showers I went to. But, I always wondered if the babies actually liked them. Well, I don't know about other babies but Ashley sure loves hers. Shawn named her Betty Bear..... no idea where that came from. He thinks that all of her toys need names and they all have to start with the same letter as the species they are. (Betty Bear, Ralphie Rabbit, etc...)

But still, even though Ashley now seems to grab onto or reach out for about anything, Betty seems to be her favorite!

Nap Time

This picture makes me laugh, Ashley looks like she is deep in thought (even though she is fast asleep). And that little bunny that she is holding is one of her favorite toys, it doesn't look like it would be all that cuddly, but she just loves it.

A Visit To The Dr

Yesterday Ashley went for a visit with Dr. Halpin. (Who on a seperate note is a wonderful pediatrician and I am so glad that we found her and that she was actually excepting new patients!) Ashley has been congested in the mornings so we thought that we better take her in. And, at her weigh in, she is now 11lbs!

Bathtime

Every night Ashley looks forward to her bathtime. Last night I thought we would use this cute little towel that she got as a present. You gotta love PB Kids!

I also had to take a picture of her in just her little diaper so everyone could see just how cute and tiny she is.

The Snuggler

Even though most of the posts on this blog will be for Ashley, this one is dedicated to the Snuggler.... aka... Izzy. Since Ashley's arrival Izzy has become the most cuddly dog that you could imagine, Shawn and I barely have time to sit down and she is already laying on us. She also wants to cuddle with Ashley, we have had to teach her that Ashley isn't quite big enough to cuddle yet, but once she is, Ashley will never need a stuffed animal to lay with, she has the Snuggler!

Happy St Patty's Day

I know that St Patrick's Day isn't until tomorrow, but Ashley has her first daycare party today. This little green sleeper just couldn't be cuter; I especially love the four leaf clovers on the bottom of her feet. When I picked Ashley up from daycare yesterday her progress chart said that she painted a shamrock for the party today..... I am going to guess she got a little help from one of the teachers. If she didn't, we have the next Van Go... I mean Van Jano on our hands!

Let's Go Mountaineers!

I think that Ashley already has the look of a proud mountaineer! This is Ashley's first WVU t-shirt that my best friend Beth's mom bought for her. It is so cute. My friend Spongie has already purchased a WVU sweat suit for her for next football season, I can't wait for her to grow into it!

Our First Day Apart

Well, after 14 weeks the dreaded day finally came….. I had to go back to work and Ashley was off to daycare! For me, going back to work was strange only because, I walked through the doors and it seemed as though I had be gone for maybe a week, not 14. Lucky for me that since I work in DC I try to go into work early so that I can be off early so Shawn had to take Ashley and drop her at daycare on her first day. I have to say that I was very glad that it was him and not me, I feel like I might have left the building crying or worse, I might have grabbed Ashley and started running, yelling “you people can not have my baby!” But, all in all the day went well, Ashley seemed to have a great day at daycare, she was all smiles when I picked her up.

Spunky

The day that Ashley was born my mom and aunt bought her a stuffed dog named Spunky from the hospital gift shop (yes, that means Spunky was probably way over priced)! Ashley loves playing with Spunky even though he is bigger than her. She also must think his ears are yummy because she chews on them often.

Hard At Work

Ashley decided that her daddy needed a little help on the computer the other day. Since I go back to work on Monday there won't be to many trips to meet Daddy for lunch, so Ashley and I have been taking advantage of our last week home together. Then, it is off to work and off to daycare! The thing that makes me laugh about this picture is that she looks like she is concentrating so hard on what is on the computer screen.

Big Girl Bath

Since I missed a couple of days I didn't think it would hurt to make 2 posts today. While in Fairmont little Miss Ashley took her first big girl bath (basically a bath without her baby tub) and she really enjoyed it. She looks so cute I can't stand it!

Christening

First of all I have to say how nice it is to have a new computer. I felt so out of touch without the internet!

This past weekend we took Ashley home to good old Fairmont to be baptized. Ashley was baptized at the same church that I was baptized at and that Shawn and I were married at. She decided to sleep through most of it and then scream at the end. But, she looked so beautiful in her dress! It was a very nice day and we had a great time.

Out of Commission

I just wanted to post that my computer broke so I will not be adding any pictures until we get our new computer which should be in the next few days!
